Promptor Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Promptor ("App", "we", "us", or "our"), a mobile application developed by Promptor and available on Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By downloading and using Promptor, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Promptor is built with a privacy-first approach. We explicitly do not collect:

• Name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information (PII)
• Location data (precise or approximate)
• Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access
• Login credentials — there is no account creation required
• Payment information of any kind
• Social media profiles or linked accounts

3. Information We Collect Automatically

3.1 Anonymous Device Identifier

When you first open the App, we generate a random, non-reversible anonymous identifier stored locally on your device (in SharedPreferences). This identifier:

• Is randomly generated and contains no personal information
• Cannot be used to identify you as an individual
• Is used only for ad delivery and frequency capping
• Is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall

3.2 Usage Data (Aggregated)

Our servers may log the following aggregated, non-personal data:

• Number of times a prompt has been copied (counter only, no user linkage)
• Number of views per prompt (counter only)
• Server access logs with IP addresses (retained for 7 days for security purposes)

4. Advertising

Promptor displays rewarded advertisements. To unlock certain prompts, you may choose to watch a short rewarded ad. We use the following advertising partners:

These ad partners may collect device information, advertising IDs, and usage data to serve relevant advertisements. This data collection is governed by their respective privacy policies linked above. We do not control the data practices of these third parties.

4.1 Advertising ID

Google AdMob and Unity Ads may use your device's Android Advertising ID (GAID) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization.

5. Avatar & Profile Customization

The App allows you to choose a decorative avatar (emoji character) for your in-app profile. This avatar is stored locally on your device only using SharedPreferences and is never transmitted to our servers. It is purely cosmetic.

6. Internet Access

The App requires internet access to:

• Fetch AI prompt content from our servers at https://clothuthu.com
• Load ad content from advertising partners
• Check for app updates
• Receive optional push notifications (if you grant permission)

7. Push Notifications

Promptor may send push notifications about new prompts or app updates using OneSignal. Notifications are sent to all users broadly and are not targeted based on personal information. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

8. Data Storage & Security

All data stored on our servers is limited to aggregated, anonymous counters (copy counts, view counts). Our servers use industry-standard HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. Data stored on your device (avatar selection, copy history) is stored in Android's standard SharedPreferences, which is sandboxed and inaccessible to other apps.

9. Children's Privacy

Promptor is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, this risk is inherently minimized. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can investigate.

10. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information, most data rights are automatically satisfied. Specifically:

• Right to Access: We hold no personal data about you to provide.
• Right to Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Server-side data is anonymous and non-linked.
• Right to Opt-Out of Ads: Use your device's Advertising ID settings to limit ad tracking.
• Right to Notifications: Disable in device Settings → Apps → Promptor → Notifications.

11. Data Sharing & Sale

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties, except:

• Advertising SDKs (AdMob, Unity Ads) as described in Section 4
• OneSignal for push notifications as described in Section 7
• As required by law or legal process

12. Third-Party Links

The App may display AI prompts that reference third-party tools (Midjourney, DALL-E, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those platforms. Use them subject to their own terms and policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted at https://clothuthu.com/privacy.php with the revised date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will notify users via push notification.

14. Compliance

This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws, including:
